Camas

Camassia leichtlinii
In the United States: Native · also called great camas, large camas

Honeybees visit Camassia leichtlinii primarily for nectar and pollen during its mid-spring bloom, providing an early-season forage resource in moist meadow-like habitats. It prefers consistently moist, well-drained soils and can naturalize in grassy areas if undisturbed. Bulbs are attractive to rodents, so protection may be needed in managed plantings.
