Catnip

Nepeta cataria
In the United States: Naturalized · also called catmint

Honeybees visit catnip primarily for its nectar, which has a sugar concentration of 22-28%, and secondarily for pollen during the summer bloom period. Peak flowering occurs from midsummer onward, offering extended forage in temperate climates. The plant self-seeds vigorously and can spread by rhizomes, requiring division or barriers to manage in gardens.
