Coastalplain Yellowtops
Honeybees forage on coastal plain yellowtops mainly for pollen from the abundant small yellow daisy-like flowers clustered at the top of stems. Peak bloom occurs in late summer to early fall in warm climates, providing a late-season pollen source. This annual herb thrives in full sun and moist to wet disturbed soils, self-seeding readily but potentially becoming weedy without control.
