Creeping Phlox

Phlox stolonifera

Honeybees forage on creeping phlox for nectar and pollen in early spring, peaking in April-May when few other sources are available. It forms spreading mats via stolons, ideal for woodland bee gardens, but requires moist soil and may suffer from powdery mildew in humid conditions.
