Honeybees seek out purple deadnettle for nectar and pollen during early spring when floral resources are limited. Peak blooming happens in mid-spring in temperate zones, offering a short but critical forage period. This self-seeding annual thrives in moist, disturbed soils and can spread into dense patches without management.
