Foxglove
Foxglove provides nectar and pollen through its tubular, spotted flowers, drawing honeybees and bumblebees for foraging in early summer. As a biennial, it develops a basal rosette the first year and sends up tall flower spikes the second, often self-seeding to extend bee resources. The stalks can reach 2-5 feet and may need support in exposed sites; though poisonous to humans and livestock, it is safe for bees.
