Matilija Poppy
Honeybees forage on Matilija poppy for abundant pollen and moderate nectar supplies during its extended summer bloom period. The large, fragrant white flowers with yellow centers attract foragers in dry, sunny habitats. It spreads aggressively via rhizomes and may require containment efforts, while dying back to the ground annually in winter before vigorous resprouting.
