Mimosa
Honey bees are drawn to the fragrant, pink fluffy flowers for abundant nectar, which can contribute to a light-colored summer honey flow, and moderate amounts of pollen. Peak bloom occurs in midsummer in temperate climates, lasting several weeks on this fast-growing deciduous tree. It has brittle branches that may require pruning for structure and can be susceptible to mimosa wilt disease, reducing longevity.
