Oregon Grape
Mahonia aquifolium
Honeybees visit the bright yellow flowers primarily for nectar and pollen during early spring bloom. Peak foraging occurs in March to May in the Pacific Northwest. This evergreen shrub provides reliable early-season resources but may require pruning to control suckering in managed landscapes.
