Osoberry

Oemleria cerasiformis
In the United States: Native · also called Indian plum, Oso berry, Oregon plum

Osoberry is one of the earliest shrubs to bloom, providing a crucial nectar source for honeybees in late winter when foraging options are limited. Flowers emerge in drooping clusters before leaves, with peak bloom typically in March, offering some pollen as well. It spreads by suckering to form thickets and thrives in moist, wooded areas with partial shade but adapts to varied soils and drier sites.
