Osoberry
This early-blooming deciduous shrub offers a critical late winter and early spring nectar and pollen source for honeybees when few other flowers are available. Peak bloom typically occurs in March in temperate climates, with fragrant greenish-white flowers attracting foragers. It spreads by suckering to form thickets and tolerates partial shade and a range of moist to dry soils, but avoid sites with prolonged winter saturation.
