Partridge Pea
Honeybees visit partridge pea primarily for its abundant pollen from the flowers and nectar from extrafloral nectaries on leaves and stems, making it an important honey plant in areas with few alternatives. Peak bloom occurs in midsummer (July-September), offering a valuable pollen source during late-season dearth. As an annual, it self-seeds readily in disturbed, sunny sites but may not persist without reseeding or management.
