phlox
Honeybees are drawn to garden phlox for its plentiful sweet nectar, especially during the late summer bloom period from July to September, contributing to a minor honey flow in suitable regions. Pollen is available but secondary to nectar rewards. Prone to powdery mildew, so plant in full sun with good air circulation; may require deer protection in some areas.
