Honeybees visit Siberian iris primarily for its moderate pollen supplies and limited nectar during the late spring bloom period, with peak flowering in early summer. The upright flowers with nectar guides efficiently transfer pollen between plants as bees forage. This rhizomatous perennial thrives in moist, well-drained soils and may need periodic division to prevent overcrowding, though it is generally non-invasive and deer-resistant.
