Spicebush
Spicebush offers an important early-season pollen source for honeybees in March and April, when few other flowers are available after winter. While nectar is present, pollen is the primary reward attracting foraging bees. Plant both male and female shrubs for best wildlife benefits, though it thrives in moist, shaded woodland edges and can be browsed by deer.
