Sticky Purple Geranium

Geranium viscosissimum
In the United States: Native · also called sticky geranium

Honeybees visit sticky purple geranium for its moderate nectar and pollen supplies during the late spring to late summer bloom, when the open purple-pink flowers are most appealing to foragers. Peak bloom occurs in June and July in temperate climates. The plant's sticky glandular hairs can trap small insects but may require protection from deer browsing in open areas.
