Swamp Bay
Honeybees visit swamp bay for its nectar and pollen during the inconspicuous white flowers that bloom in spring, providing a moderate forage source in moist, acidic environments. Peak bloom occurs from April to June in warm temperate to subtropical climates. The species is vulnerable to laurel wilt disease, a fungal pathogen spread by beetles that can affect tree health.
