Wild Mock Orange
Honeybees visit Philadelphus lewisii for its abundant nectar and pollen from fragrant white flowers, supporting foraging during late spring and early summer. Peak bloom occurs in June, providing a reliable resource when many other natives are not yet flowering. This native shrub requires pruning after bloom to maintain shape and is generally deer-resistant but may sucker in moist soils.
